Burn your bridges, but don't look back, or you might be surprised by the smoky black

clouds that lay dying on the edges of time, in the ruins of the memories

that you once claimed were mine.

Let it go, don't look back, run as fast as you can…carrying with you the deepest of

betrayals from the heart of man, surely the darkness ahead will mask your next plan,

as you leave your burning bridges all along the sacred land.

Bridges are crossed to reach the castles in your mind, a way to revisit the memories through time,

so hurry, burn them quickly, there's no need to remember, leave in their wake the piles of

blackened ember, and don't look back, or you might see what you have sown,

not one un-charred memory left standing to remember when you're alone.

Smoldering ashes and barren fields mark your path this time, but keep burning your bridges,

pay it no mind, with all your riches and conquests, you suffer no strife, but don't

look back…or you might realize that your memories are your life...

and they lay burning...
